Our family totally enjoy Beijing with Mark our tour guide. He commands English very well that we have no problem understand the history he explained to us wherever we visited. He's also flexible when issues arose to resolve problems. If we return Beijing, we'd love to have Mark again.

We had an amazing 3 day Beijing and Great Wall hiking tour. Popular areas were busy but did not detract from the experience. Jiang our guide was absolutely top class. Knowledgeable, friendly and super helpful in all aspects. We would request him again if we returned.

I booked a private tour of Beijing as a first time visitor to China and it was a fantastic experience! Jiang was really nice, patient and knowledgeable and really knows his way around Beijing. I can’t recommend this your and Jiang enough.

I was doing Xi-an with Ken of China Highlights : he prepared us like the coach of Basket Team and a trainer of Sky slalom...to face the match at the Terracotta site. We made it perfectly...we knew when to push and when to do the slalom to avoid getting stuck behing the 'tourist wall' ...and finally he brought us to a very good restaurant to test all kind of dumpling !

Jenny was our tour guide in Xian. Jenny is very knowledgeable with a great personality. She was great at explaining the Secrets of the Terracotta Warriors and the history of the Ancient Wall. She would always ask our preference for the days activities. She helped us find the best local food to sample. She is easy to talk to and makes you feel like you are on a trip with one of your best friends. If you visit Xian make sure Jenny is your guide, she will make it an unforgettable trip.

My son and I had the pleasure of getting matched up with Mervyn as our guide and she was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, punctual and accommodating to my food allergy by finding us various places to eat in Xi’an.

Shen Li Na was our tour guide. She was very nice and accommodating. She was also able to share very nice information about the places we went to in Xian. She was also very patient when we were taking lots and lots of pictures because the places we went to were very beautiful. She also knows the best spots where to take photo. The souvenir she gave us was also very memorable. You should visit Xian especially the Terra Cotta Warriors.

Our guide, Ken Zhu, spoke English well, was knowledgeable about the history of each site, had interesting insight into the people and places that we saw, and was able to recommend excellent places for local food, entertainment and culture.He is able to assist you with the planning of your trip, integrate worthwhile suggestions into your plan, and provide the guidance in the actual tour. He is resourceful and has a pleasant disposition. In Xi’an, Ken is simply the best!

We booked our trip with China Highlights (very professional and trustworthy), our dedicated guide Helen from Chengdu City was outstanding. She was very knowledgeable, kind and patient, catering to all of our requests. I highly recommend her for your future travel in Chengdu.

Our guide Susan was excellent throughout. The local eateries she suggested proved to be great choices and we enjoyed the food. Our driver Mr Liu was great too and deserves mention.

My time in Chendu was wonderful. My guide, Bella, was amazing. Our trip to the Leshan Giant Buddha was spectacular. Bella was very knowledgeable about the history of the statue and the area. Wben I had a medical emergency, Bella went above and beyond taking care of me.

We have an incredible two days in Chengdu The city is awesome, we've never imagine such as big clean and ordenade.We loved the big Buddha, the people's park was a wonderful experience, we enter to a tea house and have the experience like a Chinese citizenWe also went to see the giants pandas and was so fun Our guide Rebecca make us two wonderful trip, is so sweet and clever, we never forget her.

A big thank you to Sammi for being my valuable tour guide in Chengdu. I only had a short time but thanks to Sammi and her knowledge about history and culture, every minute spent in this great city was memorable.

This was my 2nd time after 10 years that I went back to China with China Highlights. Our guide in Guilin and Yangzhou was Chase from China Highlights. He went out of his way to accommodate me and my friend during the tours and also in-between.

Lele was our guide in Guilin. He is a professional in every way. He is kind, considerate, easy to talk to and has a great personality. He had every small detail of our trip taken care of in advance. He went before we arrived and made sure our hotel rooms in Guilin and Yangshuo had the best views, and the views were beautiful. He introduced us to the Night Market, which we loved. He adjusted the itinerary to make sure on our last day we were not exhausted as we headed to the airport. Because of Lele's knowledge, insights, and great conversion we had a trip we will always remember. If you travel to Guilin make sure you use China Highlights for a first class trip and make sure you ask for Lele as your guide, you will be very happy you did.

Guilin and its surroundings like the rice terraces or Yangshuo was definately a highlight on our China-Tour. Gary from China Highlights was our more than helpful, knowledgable, enthusiastic, caring and very friendly guide for those days. He picked us up from the train station and showed us next to the main attractions a lot of local food and habits of his home region. Thanks a lot! Guilin to us was less hectic than other areas of China.

We had an amazing experience with China Highlights. Our guide, Henry, was attentive, kind, and full of knowledge to share about Guilin. We couldn’t have asked for a better trip to Guilin. With an incredible guide and a beautiful city, this was an easy 5 stars for us.

From Lhasa to Everest Base Camp and back to Lhasa again, we were expertly accompanied by our guide, Tashi. We were blessed to have seen Everest on a clear day. Tashi was helpful and went the extra mile, he accompanied us to buy medicine for a friend who had fever in Lhasa. Altitude sickness is no joke, come prepared and do relax on the first day to minimize its adverse effects.

Our local guide, Jigme, was very knowledgeable and accommodating. He made sure to adjust the itinerary to allow us time to acclimate to the high altitude. Tibet is a beautiful place, and we especially enjoyed the Potala Palace and Yamdrok Lake. The views were spectacular.! The local architecture is very fascinating. We also really enjoyed the Tibetan cuisine.

We were looked after by Kunchok for our 6 day adventure in Tibet . He is a world class guide.. outstanding English and an encyclopaedic knowledge of Buddhism and the key sites. Flexible , thoroughly trustworthy and reliable. In addition our driver was exceptionally friendly and competent

This review is for Chonzom. She was our guide in Lhasa, Tibet. We spent several days with her touring and could be happier to have her for our guide! She speaks excellent English, is very knowledgeable, accommodating, and easy to be with. Highly recommend her services!

My wife and I are touring China through China Highlights and when in Suzhou, we were blessed to Brenda as our guide. Brenda is an outstanding friendly guide whose knowledge of the area and whose English is excellent. Ray ‘s purpose in coming to Suzhou was to take a canal boat ride. Brenda arranged boat rides both in Suzhou and Tongli which were both marvellous. We also visited the famous leaning Buddhist Temple and the embroidery complex. She also took time to show us a great eating area close to our hotel. Brenda is currently with us in Shanghai where she shown us how to walk easily down to the river to look over the amazing new buildings and the Bund. She has also introduced us to quite different local food at lunch each day and we are now enjoying coffees at her favourite coffee shop on the river.

I had an absolutely incredible experience on my tour in Suzhou, all thanks to our amazing guide (Brenda)! She was knowledgeable, and personable, and went above and beyond to make the entire trip unforgettable. Her insights into the local culture, history, and hidden gems of Suzhou added so much depth to the experience. Whether we were exploring the beautiful gardens or walking through the charming old streets, she brought the city to life with her stories and passion for the area. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an authentic and enriching tour in Suzhou!

Our guide Brenda spoke fluent English. She was wonderful and very knowledgeable. Thanks to her explanations, we had a memorable two-day trip to Suzhou and Tongli water towns.

Our guide, Brenda with China Highlights, really made our experience unforgettable even though we were only there for a short bit of time. Brenda was really knowledgeable and helpful in telling us where to find food nearby the hotel.She took us to the water town of Tongli, and shared so much of its history as well as the history of Suzhou. She also had great conversations with us -- topics ranging from the transformation of Suzhou to how the economy in China.

Ryan from #chinahighlights was my guide beginning in Shanghai when I landed the day before. He had a huge bouquet of flowers from China Highlights company for me when I arrived at the Shanghai airport. Next We went to Humble Administrators Garden which was already inundated with throngs of Chinese Tourists and visitors. It was a super lovely day so I don't blame them for visiting! I was wearing my own Han Fu dress so I felt very much at home because that's what the girls and women do, go to these places for photos! This garden despite all the people was super great. The features and layout including bonsai. Especially Azalea, we're stunning. Clean and neat. Worth your time anyway you cut it. Next was the smaller The Garden of The Master of Nets. Along the way Ryan explained some of the history and features of these places as we went along. Somehow both these gardens merged in my mind! I love Gardens, so I could go to these places daily! Finally, we drove to Tongli Old Town. Another places where girls and women dress up for outings and pictures. I wish I saw more men indulging! Lovely little town, I loved the layout and feeling like I had time travelled. The little boat cruise was jumping again with Chinese visitors and tourists. I really felt happy that they were out enjoying themselves after the recent past.... After the boat Ryan took me to Pingjuang Road, which is mostly a pedestrian street. He mentioned the Film Industry and showed me a monument and street tiles for all the movies that had been made there. A light lunch and walked back out of the area to the parking lot area where we began. A super lovely day with No Hassles!

We had an incredible tour of Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Our tour guide in Shanghai, Mr. William was very knowledgeable and he made our tour memorable. Communication with him was smooth and easy. He had detailed knowledge of the history and culture of these places.

Everything worked out perfectly all thanks to Lina at China Highlights and our tour guide extraordinaire - Kris!!!! He is truly awesome! So thoughtful, courteous, patient, honest, funny, gentle, reliable, smart, well-spoken, knowledgeable, and amazing! Talk about A+ service! My first trip to Shanghai with China Highlights was amazing. Everything was arranged very efficiently from meeting us at the airport to seeing us to the train to Hangzhou. Huge thanks to our guide Jane Khan who was very attentive to our needs and wishes. Her very good command of English, willingness to share her knowledge of Chinese history and culture , openness and good mood made it such a pleasure to be with her. Our day inShanghai , and than a trip to Suzhouh with Jane were real treats.The only thing I was sorry about that we could not stay there for a couple more days. I hope I will have a chance to return to Shanghai again.

We had two full guided days in Shanghai with our wonderful guide, Kris. It was a thrill to see the older western and newer eastern parts of the city with a local guide with such expertise and passion about the history, culture, sights, restaurants, and people of this vibrant place. We got to spend time wandering the old city, French quarter, Yu Garden and the newer Shanghai museum. A visit to the canals, shopping streets and beautiful garden in Zhujiajiao Ancient Town is not to be missed. Kris was flexible and responsive to our needs as we closed out our visit to Shanghai and China… he graciously suggested activities for us during a few free days at the end of our trip. Including a nighttime stroll on the Bund to see the city lit up at night - one of the world’s singular views!

Our tour of Shanghai was picture perfect!! Kris Lee was an amazing guide. He was very eager to explain Shanghai’s history and all information about each spectacular site he took us to. He was also very accommodating with respect to our interests. We couldn’t have had a better time!!!

Linda knows absolutely everything about the region and her recommendations were very useful to find secret spots for pictures and avoid the crowd. Saved a lot of time and struggles!

I had the pleasure of joining a tour in Zhangjiajie, and it was truly unforgettable thanks to our amazing young guide(Anna). From the moment we met, her warm smile and friendly demeanor put everyone at ease. She was incredibly knowledgeable, providing fascinating insights into the history, culture, and natural beauty of the area. Whether we were trekking through the Avatar Mountains or marveling at the incredible views from the glass bridge, she always made sure we were well-informed and comfortable.Her passion for the region really shone through in her storytelling, which brought the landscapes to life in a way that made the experience even more magical. She was also very attentive, making sure we had plenty of time for photos, answering all of our questions, and offering great recommendations for local food and activities.

Our tour guide, Sara, showed us the best spots in the park and took us to good restaurants; she also got us boba tea and it was by far the best boba tea we have ever had. Thanks, Sara, for the good memories we have of Zhangjiajie.

Wir waren 3 N?chte in Lijiang, organisiert durch China Highlights. Wir haben den Jadedrachenschneeberg besucht, wurden in Baisha durch einen Naxi-Schamanen in die Bilderschrift der Naxi eingeführt, waren in der Tigersprungschlucht und sind durch die Altstadt von Lijiang gebummelt. Unser Guide Alice hat uns super geführt (englisch), ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und wir hatten viel Spass und tolle Gespr?che miteinander. Ein tolles Erlebnis.

Much appreciation goes to our guides- the energetic Lina in Kunming; the experienced Frank in Dali; the knowledgeable Peter in Lijiang; and the earnest Sonam in Shangri-la! All ensured a smooth journey, and were enthusiastic about sharing their knowledge of the history, culture and customs of the various places.

Visiting Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a great experience but also come with a little risk of altitude sickness. Our guide Alice has taken good care of us for the whole journey. Truly a memorable trip!

What a delight! China Highlights organised a wonderful 2 days in Dali, thanks to Albee for arranging and to Scarlett for looking after me so well. Making flower cakes was a wonderful experience, and Scarlett showed me how to navigate the old city. The only problem….. 2 days isn’t long enough! This is such a beautiful area with mountains and lake.

Special mention to Frank. He was extremely knowledgeable about the history and heritage of the area and the visit to the three pagodas was made more interesting with his vivid explanation of meaning of each location. He also helped take excellent photos and brought very fresh fruits (pears and pomegranates) for us to try! Food selection was great and delicious too! Importantly, he carried THREE umbrellas at all times to make sure we were never wet!

Our tour guides and drivers, Doyle, Sally, Peter, Lulu, Jack and Mr. Huang provided a great care to us throughout the tour. We appreciate their professionalism, and high level of service. We recommend China Highlights/Asia Highlights to anyone.

I was alone in my travels but I never felt lonely, thanks to the awesome guides in Yunnan (Rosemary, Daisy, Eleanor and Pema). They achieved the perfect balance between affection and professionalism that made my travel wonderful. All the sights, sounds and fragrances from the autumn flora made all the memories so much more special.

It is a memorable journey in Yunnan. Started off with Stone Forest and Tongyung Temple in Kunming. Our guide May is very caring and professional. She is fantastic and has make our trip a very comfortable and enjoyable one.

Together with driver Ms. Guo, my guide May took me over two days to see some of the essential places in Kunming.I was extremely pleased by how thoughtfully planned everyhting was - all I had to do was show up! May would not only bring some snacks and water for the trip, but also spontaneously bought a recommended snack when she saw a stall along the way. Her recommendations were spot on for me, even at lunch, as she catered to my fussy diet inclusions of having no bones and seafood other than fish. Every meal was elicious and hefty, and centred around the delightful cuisine in this region.At the attractions, I was pleased by how much May knew of the places I went, and her nuggets of trivia and history added so much to my travel.

I had a wonderful time in huangshan ! and our guide tony was great ,he take care of us carefully and full of patients!he helps us take many nice photos! And thank you very much,make our whole trip smoothly!

Enjoyed the sights but also the people and experiences available in Huangshan.The China Highlight guide was an incredible person who was knowledgeable, warm, welcoming and sharing many interesting insights about life in China and helping to immerse oneself in this expansive country and its friendly and hard working people:

Our guide Jack.Fan had such infectious enthusiasm for the area, we finished on a high point. Our visit to Hongcun, the village of Langqiao with it's covered bridge and our stay in top of Huangshan Mountain was so enjoyable, even with the very misty weather. Jack managed to take us to the areas of the mountain where the views opened up through the clouds and mist before disappearing. Definitely needed more time there.

What made the trip even better was having Tony as my guide. He was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the history of Huangshan but also about the best routes to take. Tony made sure the hike was challenging but manageable, and he was always patient and encouraging, especially when the stairs became tough. His insights into the mountain’s natural beauty and cultural significance were truly valuable.Tony also took care of all the practical details, like making sure I had time to rest and even recommending the best spot to catch the sunrise after a long day of hiking.

Situated just outside of Shanghai, Hang Zhou was an absolute delight offering mesmerising picturesque landscapes in the likes of the Xi Lake (West Lake). The city offers a calm but yet vibrant vibe. It was worth the visit. We thoroughly enjoyed the company of our tour guide, Leaf Zhang, who was very organised and went above and beyond to help us throughout the trip. Leaf showed us a glimpse of what the city has to offer sharing stories of folklores and its history. Another must place to visit on route was Wu Zhen, with its historical architecture and cultural theatrics. We happened to visit it during their annual Drama festival and it was one of the highlights of the trip!

It was a real pleasure to meet Derek which is a very friendly, sympathetic and efficient guide. Give very good advices too. He shares a lot of with us and made his job with passion. So we can better understand the local Hangzhou culture, legend, fairytale...and taste many good culinary specialties. Because we are french and he's an english guide, he made his possible as we can understand. Driver was very good too and we feel safe with her. Thanks a lot for this experience sharing. We particularly like the discovery of art and culture of tea, and the history of the rebuilt pagoda.

If you go to Hangzhou you must have Derek as your guide. His English is very good and even knows a lot of American slang. He is very respectful and polite. His stories will entertain you all day. His knowledge of the area is amazing. He had me and my wife laughing constantly with his great sense of humor and outgoing personality. If you go to Hangzhou make sure you ask for Derek as your tour guide. You will be enlightened and entertained.
