Beeindruckende Tage in Lijiang
Wir waren 3 N?chte in Lijiang, organisiert durch China Highlights. Wir haben den Jadedrachenschneeberg besucht, wurden in Baisha durch einen Naxi-Schamanen in die Bilderschrift der Naxi eingeführt, waren in der Tigersprungschlucht und sind durch die Altstadt von Lijiang gebummelt. Unser Guide Alice hat uns super geführt (englisch), ist auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen und wir hatten viel Spass und tolle Gespr?che miteinander. Ein tolles Erlebnis. more

A Very Memorable Visit to Shanghai.
We arrived in Shanghai on 30 Oct 2024 to the announcement that Shanghai would be hit by a severe typhoon on 1 Nov. But that did not faze our wonderful guide, Winnie! She reorganised our itinerary to max the time we had before the typhoon arrive which would have stopped all activities. Meeting us at 8.30am, she whisked us to Shanghai Tower - so that we could beat the morning crowd to get up to the observation deck on the 118th floor and take in the breath-taking view before the rolling fog reduced all visibility! Lunch was a v delicious meal of local treats at a famous local bistro after a tour of the Shanghai Museum. Winnie was so thoughtful, she even bought us a green bean soup each for us old folks to hydrate ourselves through the afternoon. Plus - a very pretty pumpkin pastry to celebrate Halloween! We spent the afternoon walking along the Bund with Winnie explaining the history and significance of the different buildings and a tour of the French Quarter after that. All these could not have been done the next day when the typhoon brought gusty wind and heavy rain. Because of Winnie's initiative and hard work on 31 Oct, we got to see the Shanghai we came to visit! Kudos to you, Winnie! more

Great day in Suchzou and Tongli
Thanks to our guide Kenny! She was very welcoming and nice! Showed us Suchzhou in a very nice way. We visited the park, had a nice dinner in a restaurant that she chose for us (the food was great and atmosphere very warm) and visited Tongli water village. Her English is great, we understood her very well, and she was also very knowledgeable. Would totally recommend more

After 1.5 hours' drive from downtown Beijing, you will reach Mutianyu Great Wall. This is the most child-friendly section of Great Wall. A 2½-kilometer section was fully restored in 1986. Use the round-way cable car to save time and energy. At the Wall, you have about 2 hours of free time to walk around, after your guide does some introductions.
Head to the Temple of Heaven, a sacred site and architectural masterpiece. Many locals go to the Temple of Heaven to engage in traditional activities such as Tai Chi, calligraphy, painting, and other cultural practices.
Begin your day at the iconic Tiananmen Square, then visit the majestic Forbidden City to explore ancient Chinese imperial architecture. Your knowledgeable tour guide will explain historical stories related to the emperor and help you uncover the secrets of royal architecture.
Take a bullet train to Harbin after lunch.
Spend a full day in the Ice and Snow World today. The park possesses the most ice and snow art landscape, the most comprehensive recreational activities, and the most beautiful night views.

Drive to Snow Valley this morning. China Snow Valley is a small village about 15 km (10 miles) from the famous China Snow Town with quite similar white winter views.
Have fun with your family in an amusement park, enjoy snow tubing, ice plowing, ice spinning, ice skating, and snowball fights.
This evening, you will make dumplings and eat with the local homestay family together, talk with local people and get to know local customs during the process.
Get ready to cross the snowy forest from Snow Valley to Snow Town. This is a fascinating and beautiful route with an undisturbed landscape.
The total route is about 15 km (10 miles). Firstly, you will climb halfway up to Yaocao Hill from Snow Valley by horse-drawn sledge(5km). Then driving a snowmobile to go through the snowy forest to the top of Yangcao Hill (5km), which is the highest peak (1,235 m or 4,050 feet above sea level). Go down Yangcao Hill to Snow Town by 4WD(5km).
If your physical condition permits, we highly recommend hiking 2.5km. Hiking the Snowy Forest gives you more chances to spot the fantastic wintery white scenery.
Walk on Xueyun Avenue in the town, where there are many shops and stores where you can taste the local specific frozen cachi, pear, or sugar-coated haws.
Climb the Bangchui Hill Scenic Outlook Wooden Walkways, to ascend above the most beautiful winter fairytale world.
Back in Harbin this afternoon.
